The ELESTIM-CARDIO Medical Engineering Company is a well-known Russia’s developer, manufacturer and supplier of implantable electronic pacemakers and pacing leads.

The history of the ELESTIM-CARDIO Medical Engineering Company goes back to 1997. And since then the ELESTIM-CARDIO has been successfully involved in pacing technology.

It is based on a high research, engineering and intellectual potential of the KBTOCHMASH Design Bureau of Precision Engineering by A. E. Nudelman, one of the leading national enterprises in the Defence Industry, as well as on a rich experience in the field of development and serial production of domestic pacing systems which has been successfully accumulated by the KBTOCHMASH, as a pioneering domestic company in this field, for over 35 years of it’s creative work.

The ELESTIM-CARDIO is a well-built company which is currently under a dynamic progress. It has established the long-term mutually beneficial business relationship with the other enterprises which have shown themselves as the highly reliable partners of the ELESTIM-CARDIO and have been included into the ELESTIM-CARDIO group of co-operation.

The company is engaged in serial production of pulse generators and pacing leads.
The latest advances in pacing technology are widely employed in developing a new family of pacing systems. The staff amounts to 100 specialists in different fields of pacing technology.

The major partners of the ELESTIM-CARDIO are specialising in developing and manufacturing of a wide range of batteries for pulse generators, complete parts and components for pacemakers and pacing leads. Such an approach to the well-built network of co-operation helps to achieve the highly developed co-ordination in the field of engineering, to be able to withstand the monopoly of the ELESTIM-CARDIO suppliers and to perfect the policy of delivering complete parts and components.

It is well known that today about 50% of all pacing systems implanted in Russia are being produced by the ELESTIM-CARDIO.

The ELESTIM-CARDIO is the only Russian manufacturer of permanent pacing leads. The ELOD unipolar endocardial pacing leads and the ELBI bipolar endocardial pacing leads offer highly reliable electromechanical properties. The electrode tip of a lead is made of titanium. It has the highly developed surface structure which is coated with iridium oxide. This approach allows to achieve very low stimulation thresholds and to increase markedly the service life of pulse generators especially in the power-saving mode of operation. We can admit that the ELESTIM-CARDIO pacing leads taking into consideration their high quality and reliability are considerably more cost-effective as compared with the similar commercially available domestic models. In this respect our pacing leads are considered the best among the similar models on the Russian market.

The ELESTIM-CARDIO Medical Engineering Company follows the best traditions and advanced technologies of the Defence Industry in close co-operation with the leading Russia’s cardiology centres and hospitals. Among them are:
